Question 1 of 4

What do you need painted?

Freshly painted sage-green kitchen cabinets with a smooth sprayed finish in an Orlando home

Step 1 — Visit and written price

We look at your wood, your old finish, and your layout. We talk color. You get a written price. See free estimate.

Step 2 — Mask and protect

Floors, counters, and appliances covered. The work area tented. Your home stays clean.

Step 3 — Degrease

Two rounds of degreasing on every surface. Kitchen grease is the number-one cause of paint failure, so we are thorough.

Step 4 — Doors to the spray setup

Doors and drawer fronts come off, get labeled, and go to our spray area. Frames stay and are prepped in place.

Step 5 — Sand, fill, prime

Every surface is scuffed. Dings filled. Oak grain filled. Then a bonding primer made for humid climates — the coat that keeps everything on in Florida air.

Step 6 — Spray and cure

Two finish coats, sprayed flat. Then cure time — real cure time, not just dry-to-touch. Rushing this step is how finishes fail early.

Step 7 — Rehang and hardware

Doors go back up, adjusted straight. New knobs and pulls fitted. Final walkthrough with you. We do not leave until you love it.

What each day looks like

Most kitchens run three to five working days. Here is the rhythm.

Larger kitchens and oak grain filling add days. We tell you the real schedule at the visit — see how long it takes.

What we need from you

Empty the cabinets before day one. Every shelf, every drawer. Box it up in the next room.

Clear the counters. Small appliances go elsewhere for the week.

Keep pets out of the work zone. Doors are off and crews are in and out.

Run the AC. Cool, dry air helps the finish cure. This matters in Florida — see humidity and cabinet paint.

That is it. We handle the rest.

How we keep it clean

Tenting contains dust and overspray to the work zone. Floors are covered with ram board, not thin plastic that tears. Counters get padded covers.

We vacuum daily with HEPA filtration. At the end of each day, the kitchen is clean enough to walk through in socks.

The spray work happens off-site. What little spraying happens in your home is inside the tent, with ventilation running.

How we keep it quiet

Sanding is the noisy part, and it is mostly day two. We keep work to daytime hours. If you work from home, we plan the loud work around your calls when we can.

We do not play loud music. We do not shout across the house. Your home stays your home.

What can go wrong

Honestly, not much — but here is what we watch for. Hidden grease that needs a third degrease. A door with old damage that needs replacing, not filling. Humidity that slows a cure day.

When something comes up, we tell you that day. No surprises at the end. The written price covers normal findings. Only genuine surprises — like rotted wood behind a door — change the scope, and we show you before we touch it.

What we bring vs. what you provide

We bring everything for the job itself. Paint, primer, filler, sandpaper, sprayers, masking, tents, drop cloths, tools. You never run to the store for us.

You provide access and empty cabinets. That is the whole list. Clear counters help. A parking spot nearby helps. Pets secured helps.

Hardware is the shared item. You pick the style — or we bring samples. We handle the measuring, ordering math, and installation.

Paint color is your call with our guidance. We bring the samples and the experience. You make the final pick. It is your kitchen.

If anything else comes up, we tell you early. No surprise supply runs, no surprise charges.

Our process at a glance

Visit and written price. Protect the home. Degrease everything. Doors off to the spray setup. Sand, fill, and prime. Spray the finish. Let it cure. Rehang and walk through with you. That is the whole job, every time, no shortcuts.

The sections below spell out what each step means for your week. How it works in practice, what we need from you, and how we keep your home clean and quiet while we are in it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many coats do you apply?

One bonding primer coat plus two finish coats. That is the standard for a durable cabinet finish.

Why does curing take so long?

Paint hardens over days, not hours. Using cabinets hard before full cure causes dents and marks. We schedule so you are not waiting on us.

Do you really tent the kitchen?

Yes. Tenting contains dust and overspray and keeps the rest of your home clean.

Do I need to be home during the work?

Only for day one and the final walkthrough. We can work with a key or garage code the other days. Many homeowners go to work as normal.

What if it rains all week?

We work indoors, so rain does not stop us. High humidity can slow curing by a day. We plan for Florida weather — it is why our schedule has margin.

Can you start on a Monday?

Usually yes. Monday starts mean Friday finishes for most kitchens. Tell us your preferred week at the visit.

Do I need to buy the paint?

No. We supply all paint and materials, matched to the job. It is included in your written price.

What if I already bought hardware?

Great — bring it. We will check the sizing at the visit and install it during rehang.
